How a snowball becomes an avalanche

At the 14th of December 1998 I have send a message into the world. This message represented the snowball, that would become an avalanche. How? Easy, the people who received it would send it to their friends. Because they all put their name on it, and have send it back to me to, I could create a list of people and places the AVALANCE has reached already.
